Dearly Distressed is the perfect GREIGE chalk type paint. Not quite gray but not quite brown. Just perfectly in the middle of the two for a darling color.

I don't really have a favorite color, because I like them all! Having trouble making up my mind, Dearly Distressed is one of those combo colors; a cross between a gray and beige, like the description says, "greige." It is a calming neutral, one that serves as a deep backdrop for furniture, especially if there is a collection you want to show off, like white statuary or pink vases. It is the type of color that looks mysterious (in a simplistic way) all by itself, left alone, milky and murky. It is also potentially interesting with dry brush technique (with say, French Vanilla) or white lime wax. I love the look of driftwood, and that's what I got on a table I refinished.
